There’s something wild and beautiful budding in southern Indiana.

The Lost River Foundation is building a new hub for tourism and growth in West Baden Springs.

The redevelopment of the French Lick and West Baden Springs resorts put the area back on the map as a national destination spot. As our region gets more and more visitors we will be providing an exciting new flavor for people to return to at Lost River - pulling people in from all over the world to visit, live, work, and manage the property.

Lost River is about to enter a second decade of operation, ready to truly spread its wings.

4 new treehouses

We currently have one magnificent treehouse available to the public, nestled in a 5-trunked poplar tree. Treehouse stays are both wildly popular and underrepresented locally. Treehouse stays are in high demand nationwide, and Indiana is currently lagging behind our neighbors (Kentucky and Tennessee) in this category. We are poised to help move our state to the forefront of the conversation. Each new treehouse will have a unique personality, living space for tourists, and an elaborate staircase leading 10 feet up to reach the entrance.

Work development and relocation

Each year we accept work traders, staff, and participants for our leadership development program from all over the world. We want to provide a relocation stipend to those completing the program. Even with no stipend, 1/3 of the people that we bring into the state choose to stay. With relocation funding, we hope to get that number close to 100%.

We are seeking 200k for relocation funds for our out-of-state workers to stay in Indiana once their program at Lost River is completed.
